This Privacy Policy describes how JAR Incorporated ("we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with the Fleet Guard mobile application (the "App"), available on Google Play Store.
By downloading, installing, or using Fleet Guard, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Fleet Guard is designed as an offline-first application. Most of the data you enter is stored locally on your device using a local Room Database and is not transmitted to any external server or third party, unless explicitly stated below.
The types of information you may enter into the App include:
a) Account / Profile Information
- Name, phone number, email address, password
- Company name, company logo, designation
b) Vehicle Information
- Vehicle photos, number plate, chassis number
- Fitness Certificate and Tax Token dates
- Purchase date and related vehicle documents
c) Driver Information
- Driver photo, name, National ID (NID) number
- Driver's license number and phone number
- Driver performance and incident history
d) Expense Information
- Expense category, amount, date, payment method (Cash, Card, Mobile Banking)
- Vehicle-linked expense records
e) Incident & Event Information
- Type of incident (Accident, Police Fine, Fuel Theft, Maintenance, Complaint, Good Act)
- Date, location, fine/compensation amount
- Complainant name and phone number (optional, if provided by you)
- Police officer name and ID number (if applicable)
f) Device Permissions
Fleet Guard may request the following device permissions:
- Camera / Photos: To capture or select photos of vehicles and drivers.
- Storage: To save generated PDF reports to your device's
Documents/Fleet Guardfolder. - Notifications: To send you Fitness/Tax Token expiry alerts and reminders.
We do not access any data beyond what is necessary for these specific features.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to:
- Operate core App features (dashboard, vehicle/driver management, expense tracking, incident logging)
- Generate expiry reminders and notifications
- Generate PDF reports for your own use
- Maintain your login session (quick-login/password-only re-entry)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core functionality.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All data you enter is stored locally on your device in an offline Room Database.
- We do not operate a cloud server that stores your personal data, vehicle data, driver data, or financial records, unless a future version of the App explicitly introduces cloud sync or backup — in which case this policy will be updated accordingly.
- Since data is stored locally, uninstalling the App or clearing app data will permanently delete all stored information. We recommend exporting PDF reports for your records before uninstalling.
- We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data stored within the App, but you are responsible for securing access to your own device.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, vehicle data, driver data, or financial records with third parties.
Since Fleet Guard does not transmit your data to external servers, no data is shared with:
- Advertisers
- Analytics companies
- Data brokers
- Any other third party
5. Children's Privacy
Fleet Guard is a business/fleet management tool intended for use by adults managing transport operations. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- You can view, edit, or delete any information directly within the App at any time.
- You can delete all data by clearing the App's data/cache or uninstalling the App.
- You can disable notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
